There never were more devoted sisters…
Well, here they are. I wish I had gotten more photos, but by the time I got them done, I just wanted to get them to their new homes! I do think they turned out so cute. They are both made from the the book, Dolls to Make for Fun and Profit by Edith Flack Ackley. They are “old fashioned dolls” and they are fourteen inches tall and their clothing is sewn to their bodies.
The parts that took the longest were the boxes! I think in the future, I will try to make that easier. I do think it’s nice to have the box, but it turns out that these were not as sturdy as I had hoped. I’ll have to work on that concept a bit more.
Speaking of darling EFA dolls, you have to see this beauty made by my friend, Martha of JelliesJams. She will melt your heart!
Eventually, I would like to make and sell EFA’s more seriously, but time constraints makes that so hard to do! I think commissions will work for me, if anyone would like to order a little sweetie of their own. Someday I will have more time for dollies! In the meantime, I’ll just do the best I can.
