I don’t know about anyone else, but I have been craving color lately!  I think it’s this apartment- it’s north facing, it’s on the bottom level, and it is surrounded by tall pine trees.  It’s actually a lovely property, but my place feels like a cave.

When we moved in last April, I was really feeling inspired by a vintage, industrial, rustic feel.  I made this pinterest board to collect what I loved.  I still love it, but it’s very monochromatic and maybe a little “heavy”.  Then I saw this picture and everything changed!

Yes, it’s Jonathan Adler- isn’t it gorgeous?  So now I’ve started this pinterest board.  Mind you, I haven’t done a thing, but change my intention.  I actually think that everything in my house will work, but needs to be amped up a little.  For one thing, I have to finish slipcovering my couch!

In the spirit of my new happy color excitement, I did paint a sweet little box for Ally, my step granddaughter.  She loves orange so I think she’ll like this.  What do you think?

I love it!  I can’t wait to get started on my decor!
