..so I thought I would share a story about grocery shopping with my three children yesterday. First, let me say that I haven’t done this in a long time. They’re old now (14, 11, 8) and don’t like to come with me. Yay! But due to circumstances, there we were late in the afternoon at Safeway. I forgot to give Max his last dose of Ritalin for the day so he was ambling all over the store in his best Gollum-like manner. Seriously, watch LOTR Two Towers and that is my son. Carmen and Eric, in an effort to help me from becoming seriously aggravated, were helping to “control” Max. This is quite lovely. It involves shrieking, “Maaaaax, Knock It Off!” repeatedly. The thirty seconds that did not require Max control involve all three of them talking at me. And talking at me. And talking at me. The each think that I have a pair of ears devoted solely to them. And moving around me. In a large, older kid way. So weird. Talking and moving. All around me.
So that was fun, but we won’t be doing it again soon.
