Carmen is spending the weekend at her niece (who also happens to be her best friend), Nikki’s house. Earl is off fishing. The boys are totally plugged into their Friday night Cartoon Network lineup. I am feeling so free and unfettered! I had a lovely call from my step-sister and we talked about how we are feeling about my dad’s passing. (Hopefully she will stop in and say hi here later) Hi Lindsay!
And now I am going to work on Courtney’s tiny EFA. This is fun because she is wired with chenille stems and I am stuffing her with wool. Such a great stuffing material!
Today I worked a little more on the pattern for the tiny handkerchief doll that I made for Cindy. It’s really weird to put into writing the things that I did mostly by intuition with a big dose of trial and error! I keep finding myself having to go back and clarify, clarify! Now I need to find a few vintage hankies to work on more prototypes! So far I haven’t found any at the thrift stores. Where should I look? Flea markets? It’s going to be interesting to see if the original pattern will “translate” well to other handkerchiefs. I’m really excited about this project!
And yet, there are so many other things to do too! Like back tack, hello? I can’t believe it’s the 21st already. Okay, I’m not going to think about that right now. I’ll ruin my fun “girl’s night in”! Hugs to all!
